Interested visitors, faculty, and students may attend without cost, but preregistration on this website is strongly encouraged. While we will have capability for on-site registration, your preregistration improves our planning. It also provides you with useful information before NanoDay, so you can make the most of your time at a content- and experience-rich NanoDay.

Nano today and tomorrow
The morning plenary session features presentations from top-flight leaders in nanotechnology from industry, academia, and Maryland. These will highlight some of nano's most exciting developments and perspective for what nano's future will bring.
The afternoon poster session will illustrate the scope of nano research at Maryland, with faculty and students present to explain the work. This can be a great starting point for new collaborations with Maryland.

State of art laboratories and facilities
Lab tours in the new Kim Building will highlight research capabilities and the facilities which external users may access. We view our facilities as a regional resource to further cooperation with surrounding industry as well as government and academic institutions.

Working with Maryland
NanoDay is a superb opportunity to initiate partnerships with Maryland, either as research collaborations or facilities access. The Maryland Technology Enterprise Institute (MTECH) will host activities to show the various mechanisms by which such partnerships can be encouraged and supported.

Educational opportunities
Nano presents big challenges for education and training. The NanoCenter has taken a major step in creating our new undergraduate Interdisciplinary Minor in Nano Science and Technology. The MRSEC is nationally recognized for its science outreach program. We welcome your questions and suggestions about expanding these programs, or creating new ones with you.
