The University of Maryland School of Medicine’s Department of Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine is pleased to present the inaugural Alavi and Bradley Symposium on Molecular Imaging and Theranostics on May 24, 2022.

This symposium is made possible by a generous donation from Dr. Abass Alavi and his wife, Dr. Jane Alavi. The goal of the symposium is to bring together physicians, scientists, and students interested in advancing molecular imaging and developing theranostic agents and applications for image-guided therapy. Featuring a keynote address by Dr. Alavi himself and presentations by Dr. Zaver Bhujwalla and Dr. Dan Vigernon as plenary speakers, the symposium will offer a series of lectures on a wide range of topics of molecular imaging and theranostics.

In particular junior-level participants are encouraged to submit abstracts with an opportunity to compete for awards. Last but not least, the symposium will provide ample opportunities for formal and informal discussions and networking with experts in molecular imaging.

Registration is free and can be completed online.

Keynote Speaker:
Abass Alavi, M.D., Ph.D., D.Sc.
University of Pennsylvania

Plenary Speakers:
Zaver Bhujwalla, Ph.D.
Johns Hopkins University

Dan Vigneron, Ph.D.
University of California San Francisco

Poster presentations will provide the opportunity for attendees to showcase their research and network with meeting attendees. The abstract submission deadline is April 15, 2022.

We encourage attendees to submit abstracts for poster presentations. Attendees may elect to opt in to have their abstracts scored. Those that receive the best scores will be invited to give an oral presntation at the symposium.

Awards will be given for outstanding abstracts.
