The University of Maryland's A. James Clark School of Engineering has maintained its rank as a top 25 undergraduate engineering program in the country in the 2016 U.S. News & World Report Best College Rankings.

The Clark School ranked No. 23 among all undergraduate programs and No. 12 among public universities. In addition, the Clark School’s aerospace engineering program ranked No. 9 and the mechanical engineering specialty ranked No. 19 among all undergraduate programs.

Overall, the University of Maryland has been ranked No. 19 among national public universities in the 2016 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges rankings. This is the 13th year that the university has been ranked in the top 20. UMD also ranked No. 21 overall for Most Innovative Schools, a new ranking which highlights universities that are making the most innovative improvements in terms of curriculum, faculty, students, campus life, technology, or facilities.
