University of Maryland Energy Research Center (UMERC) director Professor Eric Wachsman (MSE/ChBE) has been selected by the American Solar Energy Society (ASES) to act as Conference Chair for Solar 2013. Wachsman will join a distinguished panel of advisory board members, comprised of leaders from the solar energy industry.

Solar 2013 will be held in Baltimore, Maryland. The event dates are April 16-20, and will focus on challenges and quick-to-market opportunities in the renewable energy environment, and with an emphasis on fast-emerging resilient-power technologies.
